Beef Stew

Ingredients
- 2 lbs stew meat
- 1 cup flour
- Tsp of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
- 1/4-1/3 c olive oil
- 1 pkg Lipton onion soup mix
- 3-4 cups beef broth 5 potatoes
- 5 lg carrots
- 1 lg yellow onion
- Red wine (optional)
Instructions
In zip lock bag add flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
Add stew meat toss til evenly coated Heat oil and add meat
Brown all over In lg pan add beef broth, Lipton onion soup bring to boil
Add browned meat and bring back to boil.
Then simmer about an hour and 1/2 - two hrs or more.
Check for tender consistency
Cut up potatoes and carrots into lg bite size pieces
Quarter the onion Add to meat and cook for about 45 minutes. Once again check for softness
Optionally add red wine to taste
If too liquidy. Make a flour paste of cold milk and flour.
Stir in Serve with nice dinner salad and biscuits.
